Introduction to Air France
Formed in 1933 when the French aviation industry was consolidated, Air France has grown to become a global giant. The French flag carrier (which has now merged with Dutch company KLM) pioneered supersonic flight in the 1970s, partnering with British Airways on the Concorde project and by the 80s had become the fourth largest airline in the world. More recently, the company has expanded its flights to the USA, partnering with Delta to offer competitive economy class tickets in either direction.
