Introduction to KLM

KLM, or Royal Dutch Airlines as they are otherwise known, is part of Air France and is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands with their hub located at Schiphol Airport. They also have the advantage of a second Air France hub at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. Since 2004, they have been a member of the SkyTeam airline Alliance which has given them access to a close knit network, allowing them to fly to 600 destinations worldwide. The airline group also includes Cityhopper, transavia.com, and Martinair, whose services operate within Europe as part of the 'low cost, low fare' market.
