Introduction to Turkish Airlines
Turkish Airlines is Turkey's national air carrier and is located in Bakırköy in Istanbul at Atatürk Airport. The airline offers frequent, fast and affordable flights to more than 275 global destinations in 115 countries. This makes it the world's fourth largest airline carrier. Destinations include Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe. Additionally, the airline operates 10 cargo aircraft to 52 destinations. Secondary airport hubs form part of its extensive network and are located at Esenboğa International Airport, Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, and Adnan Menderes Airport. Established in 1933, the airline expanded to offering overseas flights in the 1960's and since 2003 has been a globally important airline carrier. It has been a member of the Star Alliance network since 2008 and is an important commercial player in the global economy.
