Welcome to Kuala Lumpur, one of the greatest cities in Asia. Kuala Lumpur city is served by Kuala Lumpur International Airport, commonly known as KLIA. It is one of the Southeast Asia’s major gateways operated by 40 Airlines and its own carrier, Malaysia Airlines. It is situated in the Sepang district approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the city. There are two major terminals in KLIA- the Main Terminal and the Satellite Terminal which accommodates all international flights departing and arriving at KLIA. These two terminals are connected to the automatic train service to KL Sentral. From the Airport, getting to City center is very easy with the availability of extensive modes of transportation like Buses, trains, taxis, Limo service and Shuttle service.
Buses are one of the easiest and cheapest modes of transportation in Kuala Lumpur. From The Kuala Lumpur International Airport, there is Airport Coach to KL Central and the frequency of buses to and from the airport is approximately once in every 10 minutes. There are Star Shuttles that serves direct, non-stop service from the Airport to the city centre. Sepang Omnibus runs local bus services directly from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Kuala Lumpur city for less.There is Sky bus that runs direct services to all the major places of the city. The frequency of the Sky Bus is approximately once in every half an hour from KL Sentral to the Low Cost Carrier terminal (LCCT). The KLIA Express in level 2 of the airport directly links to Kuala Lumpur Central station. It takes approximately 30 minutes from The Airport to the city centre. Kuala Lumpur has 3 different rail networks KL Monorail, The LRT (Light Rail Transit) and The KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu) Komuter. From the KLIA you can also opt for KTM Komuter trains to Nilai station and take a connecting bus to city of Kuala Lumpur.
